Stephanie is an aspiring orthopaedic surgeon currently pursuing an MBA at Cambridge University. During her second year at medical school she was elected the Outreach Co-ordinator for her University’s surgical interest group and through this role helped to develop a Surgical Olympics Programme in order to provide students with CV building and networking opportunities to help with job applications.
Tanya founded Norwich MedED after becoming frustrated with the lack of transparency in peer-led teaching. Her new society allows students and junior doctors to gain teaching experience whilst providing high quality teaching sessions for other medical students.
As the president of his medical school’s surgical society, Yasser identified that junior medical students were struggling to gain exposure to surgery. He therefore created a new second year SSC project, which proved very popular and prompted many students to consider a surgical career for the first time.
Nadine has an innovative approach to medical education: a bite-size medical education video series. Created from scratch, ‘Not Just A Medical Student’ is a fantastic video series that seeks to inspire, engage and inform medical students.
