Well done to Tanya for being a runner-up in the  ‘Zeshan Qureshi Award for Outstanding Achievement in Medical Education’.
Medical Education Award - Tanya Ta

Tanya founded Norwich MedED after becoming frustrated with the lack of transparency in peer-led teaching. Her new society allows students and junior doctors to gain teaching experience whilst providing high quality teaching sessions for other medical students. The society has a particular focus on practical skills teaching, allowing students to practice skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
The society has been a great success so far, with 32 free events over the last 12 months, reaching more than 1500 medical students, leading to the society being awarded a MedSoc funding prize.

“I am passionate about representing Norwich medical students in different national organizations to ensure our voices are heard.”

Tanya represents her medical school on the ENT SFO, JASME and ASiT committees as well as being a student rep on the Norwich intercalation committee, a Wolfson Foundation trustee, a Royal College of Surgeons Intercalated Bachelor of Science Degree in Surgery Award trustee and NICE Student Champion.
