Dr Bijan Hedayati graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School (University of London) in 1996 after passing his examinations in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS).

After completing surgical training and passing his MRCS examinations at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSE, Ed.) and The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MRCS, Glasg.), he emabarked on further speciality training in radiology on The St.Georges Hospital Training Scheme and passed his examinations to obtain The Fellowship of The Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2004.

He is now a consultant general/paediatric radiologist working in Lewisham Hospital, London, England. His role in the book was to supply the initial images and primary text for the chest radiology chapter, which was then developed by the team into the published state as it is currently seen.
