Throughout my medical career I have strived to support others in achieving their full potential. I believe that everyone should have access to good education, supportive mentors and affordable resources.
Sett is a 3rd year medical student at Cardiff University. He has a keen interest in surgery, clinical neuroscience and medical education, and he is deeply passionate about education equity for international students and underprivileged students.
During his seven years at UCL Medical School, George has enjoyed contributing time to a variety of educational projects. In April 2021, he was named as the national LGBT+ Undergraduate of the Year.
As an undergraduate, Ashwin Venkatesh became embedded as a researcher within Polygeia, a Student-led Global Health Thinktank, which prompted him to recognise prevalent public health issues and strive towards equity in access and opportunity for quality healthcare and education.
My greatest contribution to the field of medical education has been founding an online learning hub in partnership with Becoming a Dr (BAD), a volunteer-led organisation supporting aspiring and current medical students. We have created 75 online tutorials with a global reach of over 90,000, and students tuning in from 6 continents.
