Zeshan Qureshi Award for Outstanding Achievement in Medical Education - Sagar Kulkarni

Sagar is a final year medical student at Barts and The London School of Medicine with a passion for medical education, particularly within radiology. During his time as president of the Barts and The London Radiology Society, Sagar hosted the UK’s first national undergraduate radiology conference, which was a huge success.
He has also developed a teaching programme for junior doctors on the recognition of incorrectly sited lines, which directly improved patient safety at his local hospital.

“Ultimately, I believe that the goal of medical education should be to improve patient care.”

Finally, Sagar has developed an innovative artificial intelligence programme with a focus on foetal ultrasound scanning. This work won him first prize at the Canadian Association of Radiologists Annual Meeting in Montreal.
Sagar’s approach to delivering medical education is truly innovative and we are proud to be able to present him with this award. Congratulations once again!
